The market is not only place for trading but it is also the meeting point, cultural exchange central and the place for young people to find out their life partner! BRIEF ITINERARY

• Day 1 (Friday): Hanoi – Bacha town (L, D)
• Day 2 (Saturday): Cancau Market – Hoang A Tuong Palace -  Banpho village (B, L, D)
• Day 3 (Sunday): Bac Ha -- Sapa – Catcat village (B, L, D)
• Day 4 (Monday): Sapa  – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B, L)

FULL ITINERARY

DAY 1 (FRIDAY): HANOI - LAOCAI - BACHA TOWN (L, D)

Today, we will drive quite much, but don’t worry; the road is good and nice scenery all along the way. Depart Hanoi at 8 am, you will have chance to drive on one of the most beautiful road in Vietnam, Noibai – Laocai high way which has shorten much time to drive from Hanoi to Laocai, from 7 or 8 hours before down to 3,5 hours now.

Have lunch in Laocai then we keep drive to Bacha town, stop on the way to visit a nice and peaceful village of Tay people, Trungdo village and walk around to meet local hill tribe here.

Arrive Bacha town in the late afternoon, check in hotel, time for your leisure. Dinner and stay overnight in Bacha town.

DAY 2 (SATURDAY): VISITING CANCAU MARKET - BANPHO VILLAGE (B, L, D)

Breakfast at your hotel, then we drive to colorful Cancau market. You can see many different ethnic groups of Vietnam here such as: Black H’Mong, Dzao, Red H’Mong, Flower H’Mong, Dzay people.

They often dress up the most beautiful cloths for going to the market, because this market happens once a week only. Local people go to the market not only for shopping and selling their wares, but also they come to see their friends as well, when they meet each other, they often sit down at a local restaurant to eat and drink some local corn wine (40 % alcohol), so you may see some drunken men as well.

Cancau market is also very famous for its buffalo exchange, there are hundreds of water buffalos are gathered here by farmers. They can buy and sell easily at the market; even people from city come here to buy buffalos too, because they have plenty of choices. Apart from water buffalos, you can see many other live stocks such as: chickens, ducks, pigs, dogs, cats, goats…All for sale!

After walking around to see all local products, we drive back Bacha for lunch. In the afternoon, our guide will take you to an old Palace of Hoang A Tuong, a Tay man but he ruled over H’Mong people and was regarded as King of H’Mong people, then we will visit to Banpho village to trek around, enjoy calm and peaceful nature here. Turn back to hotel, dinner and stay overnight in Bacha town.

DAY 3 (SUNDAY): BACHA- LAOCAI - SAPA (B, L, D)

Wake up early to see local people going to the market in colorful dress. They bring along with horses, cows, buffalos and contain their products in big baskets and carry on their back. It is quite busy in the morning.

After breakfast, we will walk to the biggest market of the region, Bacha market and see how local people buy and sell their products, many strange products that you cannot understand how to use and what is it for, don’t worry, our guide will explain you. You can sit down some local restaurant to sample local foods and drinks. Enjoy exciting atmosphere of the market and take nice photos before turning back to our car and drive to Laocai city for lunch. Then, we will drive up high mountains to Sapa, it is 35 km from Laocai to Sapa but it takes us about 1 hour to drive there, the road is stunning! You can feel the change of temperature when you get closer to Sapa.

On arrival, we will hike to Catcat village, a beautiful village of Black H’Mong people in a marvelous valley. You just go down steps and reach to a nice waterfall which French people used to build a hydro power plant to supply power for Sapa, however, now it closed and the plant became the stage for music show. Finish your day at your hotel in Sapa.

DAY 4 (MONDAY): SAPA - LAOCHAI -TAVAN - LAOCAI - HANOI (B, L)

This morning, you will check out and bring everything with you, we will go further to other villages of Laochai and Tavan for walking around and enjoy fantastic scenery of Sapa with mountains, terrace rice fields, streams… Finish with a nice lunch at a local restaurant by the side of stream. After lunch, we drive back to Sapa and heading to Hanoi. We will get back Hanoi in the late afternoon and finish our 4 day trip to Bacha, Cancau market and Sapa.
