PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP - LUANG PRABANG - VIENTIANE TOUR 12 DAYS 11 NIGHTS

OVERVIEW:

First arrive at Phnom Penh to have a city tour of the highlights in the capital of Cambodia. Then transfer to Siem Reap to explore the incredible Angkor complex near Siem Reap from the small circuit to the large circuit. Then take a boat trip to visit thee floating village in Tonle Sap Lake and see how the local people live. Then fly to Luang Prabang to take a short trip to the most stunning waterfall in the world and witness thousands of Buddha images on the Mekong River. Finally a city tour in Vientiane will allow you to have a better understanding about the Lao.

FULL ITINERARY:

Day 1 Arrival Phnom Penh, Check in Hotel (D)

 Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be welcomed by your private local guide from Red Lotus Travel.Com at the airport then escorts to hotel.

Day 2 Full Day Phnom Penh City Tour (B, L)

Today you will enjoy a full day city tour. You will visit the Wat Phnom Temple which dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva, then visit the National Museum where you will see the large collection of Khmer history, arts and architecture. You will also visit the Silver Pagoda which has 5,000 silver tiles on the floor and a visit to the Royal Palace where the Khmer royal family leaves.Rest of the day is at leisure. 

Day 3 Fly to Siem Reap, Half Day Angkor Wat (B, L)

After Breakfast, transfer to airport onward flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will be welcomed by our local guide from IndochinaTour.com at the airport then escorts to hotel. After check in and a short rest, your private guide will escort you to discover the world’s wonder site—Angkor Wat, the magnificent temple was built in 12^th century and it is the largest first Hindu, Buddhist temle complex and the largest religious monument in the world. On your way back to Siem Reap, enjoy the sunset from the top of the pyramid-shaped temple of Pre Rup.

Day 4 Full Day Angkor Thom & Ta Prohm Temple (B, L)

After breakfast, the cool weather and less traffic is perfect for you to travel in a Tuk Tuk to visit the ancient city Angkor Thom which was the last and most enduring capital city of the Khmer empire. The tour in Angkor Thom will starts from the South Gate and walk along the ancient city wall to see the lost temple of Prasat Chroung, then continue to the Bayon temple where you will be surrounded by 216 gigantic stone faces which fame as "smile of Angkor".  You will also visit the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

When weather gets hot, your driver will pick you up and you can enjoy air-condition and cold drinks inside your private car while transferring you to Temple of Ta Prohm which is wildly known as “lost to the jungle temple”.

Day 5 Full Day Tonle Sap Lake, Kompong Phluk (B, L)

In the morning, visit a half day excursion to the biggest Southeast Asia’s largest fresh water lake—Tonle Sap Lake. You will firstly enjoy a fun ox cart ride through the countryside, continue to have a boat trip to enjoy the beautiful lake view and mangrove forest on the lake, then spend rest of the morning at the largest village on the lake which is called Kompong Phluk, to discover the fascinating daily lives of the local people who leave on the water.

Day 6 Flight to Luang Prabang (B, L)

Today you will continue your amazing Indochina Tour in Laos from Siem Reap to Luang Prabang. 
Enjoy relaxing time in the morning until transfer you to the airport for onward flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, you will meet your private local guide from Indochinatour.com and escort you to hotel. 
Rest of the day is at leisure. In the evening, you can wander around the city and the night market to discover local life of Luang Prabang.

Day 7 Full Day Kuang Si Waterfalls & Luang Prabang City Tour (B, L)

Luang Prabang, the city surrounded by Mekong River and well known for its golden city is well known for its beautiful decorated Buddhist temples, it is a place that you will keep appearing in your mind for long time after your Indochina tour. 
Your memorable trip will starts from partaking in an alms ritual in the morning, you will accepts the blessing by monks who you give the alms. Have breakfast in the hotel and then start the half day excursion to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you will enjoy beautiful natural scenery, have fun in waterfalls and relax. 
Drive back to the town for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Wat Xiengthong which is symbolic temple of the classic Laotian architecture, visit the Royal Palace Musem to learn some history of Laos. Then visit the Wat Aham Temple which means “Monastery of the Opened Heart” and the Stupa of Wat Visoun. 
Rest of the day at your leisure to relax and explore the city, you can enjoy some drinks in one of the cafés or strolling along the beautiful riverside.

Day 8 Half Day Pak Ou Cave—the Thousands Buddha Cave (B, L)

Today you will embark on a private boat for a 2 hours boat trip along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Cave. Along the boat trip, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Mekong River and see daily life of local people in riverside fishing village. 
Visit the Pak Ou Cave which locates by the Mekong River and you will discover numbers of gold-lacquered Buddha statues in the cave. After visiting, take the boat back to Luang Prabang and rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 9 Flight to Vientiane, Check in hotel (B, L)

Enjoy the morning at leisure until transfer to airport for onward flight to continue your Red Lotus Travel to Vientiane - the capital city of Laos.

Vientiane, the charming capital city of Laos with rich heritage of Buddhist culture, is waiting for you to discover. 
You full day city tour will take you to visit the highlights of Vientiane. Your will firstly get to know some more history of Laos by visiting the National Museum, then visit the temple Wat Sisaket which is the oldest surviving temple with thousands of Buddhist images. The temple Wat Prakeo which housing the famous Emerald Buddha image really amazed the Indochina tour makers. Your full day Vientiane city tour will also visit the symbolic site That Luang Stupa and Patuxay Monument.
